Abstract
AimsRoles: to investigate the effect of astragaloside IV on L-type calcium currents (ICa,L) and exploring the mechanisms of astragaloside IV’s cardioprotective effects.
Main Main mMethods: we directly measured the ICa,L in the adult rat cardiac myocytes exposed to astragaloside IV using standard whole-cell patch-clamp recording technique.
Key findings: Our results showed that astragaloside IV exerted inhibitory effects on the ICa,L of the single adult rat cardiac myocytes.
