Cartridges that are reused or remanufactured are being used a great deal these days by environment conscious companies, because it goes with the idea of going green and supports the effort that is done to save the Earth. Remanufactured inkjet cartridges are recycled cartridges. They are recycled and reprocessed by professionals.

The process involves taking the cartridge apart, checking and cleaning it so that any part that is not reusable or worn out is removed and a new one is added to it. The technician thus rebuilds it and refills it with ink to distribute it in the market. Usually what is done is the ink is refilled and new printer head is attached to the refilled cartridge. Because of the highly efficient processes involved it is often found that the remanufactured inkjet cartridges are often more efficient than the original one bought.

The cost of remanufactured ink cartridges is also less when compared to the cost of buying an original one. That being said, there are some cartridges that can be recycled again but there are some printer companies that do not allow recycling at all. Printers like Compaq, Lexmark, Apple and Canon allow usage of recycled ink cartridges. Depending on the manufacturer and model of the printer, remanufactured inkjet cartridges come in various combinations - black or colored.

You can choose remanufactured cartridges from the wide variety that is available. Check with your friends or colleagues to find out which one according to them is the best, and also check out the offers and products available form your nearest computer store.

Manufacturing firms spend a high amount of money in order to research and make the remanufactured ink cartridges at par with the original ones. These companies also set their own prices and they don’tfollow the bigwigs in the industry.

Apart from the considerable savings you make, you are also involved in recycling to reduce carbon footprint. The cartridges are made from plastic, which is the least biodegradable substance in the world. It will take millions of years for the plastic to disintegrate. Imagine all those layers of thick plastic material suffocating the earth. Also, crude oil is one of the major components in manufacturing plastic. By reusing cartridges, you are reducing the amount of crude oil that go into the production of new plastic cartridges and directly contributing to saving fuel.

All this is in addition to good quality, good money back service, superior printing and also being able to print more pages. By using remanufactured inkjet cartridges, you are definitely not compromising on quality, you are just being smart about costs and contributing to saving the planet.

The cartridges are sent to the manufacturing companies and they do the cleaning and refilling. There are certain disadvantages such as sometimes the brand you need might not be available if the printer is new so one might need to wait. But the disadvantages far outweigh the advantages brought about by using remanufactured inkjet cartridges.

Laser toner cartridges can be expensive. If you are tired of paying the price for new ones, consider purchasing a remanufactured version.

When you have an empty cartridge, do you throw it away or do you ship it back to the company for recycling? A number of companies include a postage paid box for shipping the cartridge to be recycled.

Instead of breaking down the plastic and reusing it in some other product, as is done with most recycled plastics, the cartridge can be cleaned and refilled. That’s what remanufacturing companies do.

The cartridge is checked for breakage or other kinds of damage that might cause leaking. It is tested to be sure that it works correctly. Then, it is put in new packaging and sold to a consumer at a considerably lower price than the all new versions.

In order to make a new cartridge, a company needs new plastic. The plastics are created using petrochemicals, which are derived from petroleum or crude oil. Knowing that our sources of oil are unlimited and it is still the primary fuel source used in many countries, cutting back on the petrochemical products that we use every day makes sense.

So, remanufactured laser toner cartridges are an environmentally friendly alternative, as well as being a cost-effective one. If you own a small business or work in an office that runs through these items on a regular basis, you could really reduce your costs by buying remanufactured.

You can buy a remanufactured cartridge to fit HP, Elite, Lexmark or IBM models. Brother, Panasonic, Canon and other name-brands are also available in remanufactured inkjet cartridges, laser toner cartridges and other products as well.

You can also order a remanufactured cartridge for the printer in your home or office. If you give them a try, you may be surprised at how good the quality is. You may end up wondering why you would ever pay more for an original equipment item.

Remanufactured ink jet and laser toner cartridges are becoming increasingly popular. That’s a good thing for the environment and for the pocketbook. As more people are buying them, the remanufacturers are able to lower their prices even more.

The more we are able to use recycled materials in our homes and offices, the less trash there will be in our landfills. If you think that we are not running out of space, then why do we have to keep building more of them?

Remanufactured laser toner cartridges are certainly not the only solution, but they are definitely a part of it.

Buying new laser toner cartridges can be expensive and costly to the environment. HP laser toner cartridges, as well as other brands, are made from new plastic.

The new plastic comes from petroleum. The petrochemical industry creates billions of dollars worth of polymers and plastics every day. The big focus has been on reducing oil and gasoline usage, in order to reduce petroleum usage.

But, by reducing the number of petrochemical products (plastics) that we use, we can reduce petroleum usage, too. Some estimates indicate that remanufactured cartridges can save over 200 million gallons of oil, every year.

If you want a cheap laser toner cartridge, there is nothing less expensive than the remanufactured varieties. They cost as much 60% less than the “all new“ OEM products.

Supposedly, HP laser toner gives you more brilliant colors than other brands. But, if you did a side by side comparison between something printed with a new cartridge and one printed with a remanufactured cartridge, you would be hard pressed to tell the difference. Some people pick the remanufactured print, every time.

Although the remanufactured cartridges cost less, the highest quality inks and toners are used. The quality is much higher than what you get in the do-it-yourself refill kits.
The remanufacturers take the used cartridges and clean them thoroughly. They check for damage or imperfections. In most cases, they are guaranteed to satisfy.

Of course, some remanufacturers are better than others. A company might use cheap laser toner rather than a high quality selection to refill a cartridge.

It is always a good idea to shop around. If you are unhappy with the quality provided by one remanufacturer, try another. It is worth your time and effort to save fossil fuels, not to mention your hard-earned money.

Every laser toner cartridge should be tested by the company and then sealed before being shipped to your door. This is something that you should be able to learn about at the remanufacturer’s website.

The big companies like HP and Dell might disagree, but people that have used the remanufactured cartridges are happy with the quality and thrilled with the price. We also like to go “green“ in every way possible.

If you are like us, you have recycling bins for plastic, aluminum, glass and other items. You spend a great deal of time sorting through these products, because you believe recycling is important.

Instead of buying a new cheap laser toner cartridge from some off-brand company, try a remanufactured one this time. You’ll be glad that you did.

If you are in the market for inkjet cartridges, you might be interested in a green alternative to OEM products. OEM means original equipment manufacturer. They are made from all new materials.

For example, when buying new HP Inkjet Cartridges, they are OEM, made from all new materials. OEM is not the greenest option.

Remanufactured inkjet cartridges are the greenest alternative. When cartridges are emptied, they can be reused and refilled. You have probably seen the do-it-yourself kits in a local department store.

Trying to refill the cartridge yourself is not as easy as the commercials make it seem. It’s messy and they rarely work properly. In fact, some Dell inkjet cartridges and other brands cannot be reset without a special tool. Even if you refill them with ink, the sensor will still say that the cartridge is empty.

The tools to reset the cartridge are quite expensive. You would need to go through at least 10 or more HP inkjet cartridges to get your money’s worth out of the tool. Plus, the tools are difficult to find, even online and they don’talways work.

Professional companies take the previously used OEM cartridge. They clean them and inspect them for breakage or imperfections. They reset any sensors that are present and refill them with the highest quality ink.

The remanufactured inkjet cartridges cost a little less than OEM. But, the big savings is to the environment.

Statistics indicate that remanufactured ink and toner cartridges could save as much as 283 million gallons of oil every year and keep 570,000 tons of plastic out of the landfill. Your toner cartridge probably came with an option to return it for recycling. This is how the remanufacturers get started.

You might be wondering how buying remanufactured rather than OEM Dell inkjet cartridges could save so much oil. Plastics are petroleum products. Every plastic item that you buy and then throw away is like throwing away non-renewable resources. If the item cannot be reused or recycled, it will sit in a landfill for hundreds of years, because plastics are not biodegradable.

As everyone is looking for the greenest alternatives, they continue to buy plastic and they fail to recycle. If you normally recycle or reuse in your home, you are doing everything that you can to protect the environment.

Buying remanufactured inkjet cartridges is simply one more thing that you can do. You will save as much as 60%, too. It’s a win-win-win situation.
