St. Louis Retailer Completes Domain Change
Ballwin, MO: Goedeker’s, a St. Louis-based retailer of home discount appliances, furniture, mattresses, and plumbing fixtures, has changed its website operations from Number1Direct.com to Goedekers.com.
In 2008, Goedeker’s launched Number1Direct.com, an eCommerce site targeting a national audience. Nearly four years later, many lessons have been learned. An expanded network of full service providers means that both local and online customers now have the same opportunities. As a result, Goedeker’s has made the decision to close Number1Direct.com and will return to the name St. Louis has come to know and trust. Number1Direct.com has become Goedekers.com.
Founded in 1951, Goedeker’s has seen incredible growth through hometown marketing and customer loyalty. Today, Goedeker’s is headquartered in a 50,000 square foot warehouse and showroom in the St. Louis suburb of Ballwin, Missouri.

Customers have responded positively to the change. Since the launch of Goedekers.com, the store’s rating on review website ResellerRatings.com has increased to its present 8.4 score on a 1-10 scale. This has earned the store the ResellerRatings status of “Elite” status for excellence in customer service and satisfaction.
