San Francisco, CA, March 05, 2014:

All Hackers are not evil, especially in the Silicon Valley, California, the term Hackers meant for building something for good over a small period of time(in Hrs).

That’s what happened last weekend in San Francisco Design Center Concourse. 1000+ hackers attended a 48Hrs Hackathon organized by “LAUNCH” an organization that connects entrepreneurs and investors in Silicon Valley. After several round of judging, out of 163 projects 3 gets selected and awarded on LAUNCH Festival which happened after the LAUNCH Hackathon weekend.

The best thing on this kind of Hackathon is not just about who wins it or not over that weekend. It is more than that, most of the hackers will come out with some real business Ideas and turns them into business moving forward. And that’s what happening with a Hacker team called “Datarity”

Datarity, a cloud platform where enterprise can clean their Big Data from Personally Identifiable Information (PII) with on-premise scan agent. Datarity will scan and mask visible Credit Card Numbers, Bank Accounts, SSNs, Email Ids, Address and Phone Numbers out of your big data which is in the heavily distributed file systems network like HDFS and cloud.

“We are addressing the big problem in a Big Data world. Data security is an important concern for CIOs and Chief Security Officers in a Big Enterprises. Data Scientists and Analyst who work on those data don’t aware about the security risks. And there is no easy way in the current market to clean their Big Data. That’s where Datarity comes in” said Swami Nathan, Entrepreneur and Hacker member of the Datarity Team.

“Great idea. Big problem. This team has the experience to attack this opportunity as a venture.” said John Kim, SVP of Product @ Expedia on his feedback to the Datarity demo.

“Impressive, especially in 48 hours. I am not sure how large this business can be but I do know that you can make several million dollars selling this to CIOs. I hope you take it forward!” said Blair Silverberg, Investor @ Draper Fisher Jurvetson on his private review on Datarity in LAUNCH Hackathon website.

“After the demo to the Judges, we all felt that without our mentor Adam Seligman, Vice President, Developer and Partner Marketing @Salesforce guidance we could not have presented Datarity that well.” said Sasi Kumar another Hacker member of the Datarity Team.

“We believe that, those feedbacks are the most valuable one. With those valuable feedbacks from this Tech and Investment world experts, we plan to take this project to solve the real world problem” said Swami Nathan.
