February 11, 2015: Light & Land, known for its photography tours in scenic worldwide destinations, will guide a tour of the USA’s Yosemite National Park. “Yosemite — Leading Lights. In the Footsteps of Ansel Adams”, is scheduled to take place May 14-24, 2015. The park is known for high vertical cliffs and waterfalls, trails, and undisturbed wilderness.

On the tour, travelers will be taken to see viewpoints made familiar by Ansel Adams. Accommodations will be near the southern entrance, near Mariposa Grove and giant redwood trees. The road to Glacier Point is nearby too, where there is a spectacular panorama of the valley.

The trip comes at the height of spring, a time when the waterfalls come to life. Tour guides will lead participants to Tioga Pass and the Tuolumne Meadows in the Sierra Nevada mountains. To be led by renowned landscape photographers David Ward and Joe Cornish, the Leading Lights tour has eight spots available. Both tour guides have visited Yosemite multiple times and hope to immerse travelers in the experience.

In addition, the 10-night tour includes tuition fees, single accommodation, airport transfers, and transport during the excursion. Walking in towns or on trails, and uphill, requires a moderate exertion level on this excursion.

Expect to see spectacular natural wonders such as El Capitan and Half Dome. This tour is intended to follow in the footsteps of great photographers such as Galen Rowell, William Neill, David Muench, and John Sexton, not to mention the renowned Ansel Adams.
