02, October 2014: London has been at the forefront of British brewing since the middle ages. To this day it is home for the newest and inspirational brewers- with the growth in craft ales production and microbreweries being at an all-time high.

This is growth that should be celebrated! The BB Experience brings you London Microbrewery Tours, featuring some of the up and coming and established microbreweries, with their globally influenced craft beer recipes and brewing methods. Not only will the beer be cold and crisp, we will show you around some of the historical areas of London and you will learn a bit about the tradition of brewing and how modern breweries are evolving to meet with current needs.

Over the last two years the number of microbreweries in London has doubled from twenty three to fifty two. With the growth in craft ale production spreading worldwide, we now see influences coming from the USA and Canada, and ingredients being shipped from all over Europe giving very interesting and different tastes.

Many of our microbrewers started off in basements with small scale brewing and experimentation, in most cases to make cheap beer for themselves and friends. The definition of craft beer is still a loose one, it seems no one can agree on its terms. Anything that is fresh and exciting will be given a fair go.

October is upon us, and for beer enthusiasts the world over that means one thing- Oktoberfest! Our European friends and everyone alike will be dressing up in leather cloths, dancing to tuneful music, and spilling beer from gigantic glasses. The Oktoberfest festival runs for two weeks to end September ending on the 5th of Oct. We intend on celebrating with our drunken brothers on the 4th of October. Beer swilling starts at 11 am. Come and see how the British do it. Leader Hosen optional.
