Minneapolis, MN; August 05, 2013: Meta Con, one of the biggest comic, anime, sci-fi, and pop-culure conventions to return to the Minneapolis area, is excited to announced that expert martial artist Samurai Dan, and his wife Lady Jillian, will be performing and teaching at this year’s upcoming Meta Con event. Meta Con 2013 will be happening at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Minneapolis from August 30 through September 1, 2013.

Samurai Dan and his wife, the beautiful Lady Jillian (also attending), are full-time martial arts instructors, specializing in 16th century Samurai arts. When not teaching at their dojo, the Kojokan, they travel across the country performing and teaching the ancient ways of the most famous warriors in history. Their shows and demonstrations uniquely blend history, combative skill, and humor, in a way that will both educate and entertain audiences both large and small.

In addition to teaching at their dojo in Iowa and demonstrating across the country, the dynamic duo also collaborated to write, direct, host, and star in a 12 episode TV series entitled “The Way of the Samurai.” Daniel is also an author with several martial arts articles published, and he is currently working on his second full-length novel.

Samurai Dan is known for being hilarious… he’s also really tall.

The pair of Samurai experts join a growing list of special guests in all sorts of genres, including power ranger stars Jason Faunt and Nakia Burrise, nerdcore rapper and former hacker YTCracker, anime stars Sonny Strait, Chuck Huber and Chris Patton, actors Billy West (Futurama) and Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight) and robotic Steam Punk band, Steam Powered Giraffe.
