The Waldorf Center for Plastic Surgery welcomes the first and only fellowship-trained pediatric plastic surgeon in Oregon, Dr. Christopher S. Zarella, to their staff.

Portland, OR — November 18, 2015
The Waldorf Center for Plastic Surgery, a plastic surgery practice in Portland, Oregon, is proud to welcome Dr. Christopher S. Zarella to their staff. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Zarella is the first and only fellowship-trained pediatric plastic surgeon in Oregon.

<p>Dr. Zarella attended Wake Forest University for both medical school and his general surgery residency program. Following this residency, he completed an additional residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Oregon Health and Science University. His lifelong special interest in the care of children drove Dr. Zarella to pursue fellowship training in Craniofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgery at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC.

Devoted to helping pediatric patients, Dr. Zarella is an active member of the Cleft Palate Team at the Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center. His work there involves surgery to correct numerous congenital deformities, including cleft lip and palate, craniosynostosis, other skull deformities, and deformities of the pediatric hand and foot. Though he has focused on pediatrics, Dr. Zarella is also dedicated to helping his adult patients with their surgical needs. He specializes in a wide range of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures for adults, including facial rejuvenation, body contouring, and breast surgery, both cosmetic and reconstructive.

Committed to maintaining and continuing his medical education, Dr. Zarella stays current with the latest developments in plastic and reconstructive surgery through attendance at both national and international society meetings. Recently, Dr. Zarella became interested in international health care, and his work with cleft lip and palate has brought him the opportunity to participate in surgical mission trips in China and Central America.

Now, Dr. Zarella is excited to serve patients at The Waldorf Center for Plastic Surgery as the first and only fellowship-trained pediatric plastic surgeon in Oregon. He believes this experience will benefit him with his adult patients as he understands the fundamentals of the way the body grows and develops and can use that to provide a well-rounded perspective to his adult patients. In partnership, Drs. Waldorf and Zarella provide cosmetic plastic and reconstructive surgery such as breast augmentation, breast lift, facelift, tummy tuck, non —surgical rejuvenation and more.
