Raptivity®, the leading rapid interactivity building tool from Harbinger Knowledge Products, recently bagged the prestigious Learning and Technology Impact Award for the Best eLearning Design in the Game or Simulation category, at the 2012 award program organized by LearnX Foundation.

The purpose of the awards was to identify and honor individuals, teams and organizations that have leveraged learning and development in order to significantly advance workforce productivity and performance.

“We take great pride in accepting LearnX 2012 award for the “Game or Simulation“ category, comments Vikas Joshi, Chairman and Managing Director of Harbinger Group. He adds, “Gamification is a much talked about and popular concept in the eLearning world today. It is no surprise because eLearning developers have not only proven the pedagogical significance of serious games, but also established that games are one of the most effective ways to create interactive courses. Games help improve learner engagement, strengthen recall and reinforce learning.“

The LearnX award was presented for the games on the Philips Online Learning Center. Raptivity was used to develop and publish the over 100 standalone interactive games for this portal. Raptivity enabled Philips to deliver continuing healthcare education content in a fun and interactive manner thereby improving learner engagement and retention.

Seema Chaudhary, President of Harbinger Knowledge Products Inc., says, “LearnX 2012 offered us a platform to share one of our success stories with the world. We are excited that Philips Online Learning Center games developed using Raptivity have won the award. We look forward to meeting our customers and attending the award ceremony on August 30th, at the LearnX conference in Melbourne. “
