Orlando, FL— April 08, 2016 — Today, natural, therapeutic ingredients such as resveratrol are gaining the interest and trust of an increasing number of people. This natural alternative is believed to offer a range of health benefits. Individuals who suffer from conditions such as diabetes may consider making it a part of their daily diet.

A study finds resveratrol to be helpful against type 2 diabetes. This plant compound is otherwise known as a polyphenol that has abundant levels of antioxidant properties. It is believed to offer increased protection against a range of threats associated with the risk of heart disease, cancer, and Alzheimer’s disease.

Resveratrol is also thought to offer protection against age-related diseases. As a matter of fact, it is even called as an anti-aging compound. It also has the potential to protect the nervous system and brain.

There are food sources of resveratrol such as peanuts, red grapes, mulberries, cranberries, and blueberries. Wine also has abundant levels of this therapeutic compound.

According to new research, resveratrol has anti-platelet, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, and anti-cancer effects. It is even believed to have the ability to protect the body from a myriad of diseases.

The researchers in the double-blind, randomized placebo-controlled clinical trial tried to investigate the effects of resveratrol in individuals with type 2 diabetes. There were 66 participants consisting of 33 males and 33 females with the condition.

The group was divided into two, one received resveratrol and the other was the placebo group. They were all allowed to continue taking their anti-diabetic medication.

At the end of the study, it was found that the resveratrol group experienced a significant reduction in systolic blood pressure, fasting blood glucose, hemoglobin, and insulin resistance. The researchers also noted that the HDL significantly increased.

The placebo group, on the other hand, experienced a slight increase in fasting glucose and LDL. Neither of the groups also experienced adverse effects.

In Western society, type 2 diabetes is considered to be one of the most common chronic diseases. There have been numerous studies that found resveratrol has the potential ability to prevent or reverse diabetic dysfunction in animal models.

Studies are still underway to validate whether resveratrol could be a part of the anti-diabetic treatment of sufferers.

Resveratrol has been generally believed to be beneficial for overall health. There are many resveratrol supplements available nowadays, and the best ones contain other natural, therapeutic ingredients.

The best resveratrol supplement in the market contains grape seed, green tea, red wine extract, and Acai fruit extract. These therapeutic ingredients are also thought to offer a range of health benefits (www.amazon.com/Resveratrol-Supplement-Strength-Extract-capsules/dp/B019C0UU5S).
