Seminar Educates New Jersey Homeowners On Property Tax Appeal Process

In 2014 alone, nearly 100,000 homeowners appealed their property taxes in New Jersey — and nearly two-thirds succeeded in having their assessments reduced by $25,000.00 to $75,000.00 — thereby lowering their taxes in many cases by $10,000.00 over 12 years.

In this seminar —- hosted by realtor Peter Jordan of  Berkshire Hathaway Homes Services NJ Properties — homeowners will be taught how to determine if their property values are overassessed and what is required to successfully challenge assessments in their township.

Homeowners will also learn:

- How individual property assessments and taxes are calculated
- Rules for determining a winnable case
- How to choose the best comparable sales to defend a valuation.
- Common pitfalls and problems that can lead to a permanent dismissal of a case — and how to avoid them.

Special guest speaker:

Maria Cozzini

New Jersey Real Estate Tax Attorney

As a special bonus, each homeowner who attends will receive a free, complimentary assessment of their current eligibility for a tax appeal.
