Hong Hong; 05, January 2016: Witkin Jacobsen commodities markets operator and provider of post trade risk mitigation and information services, announces that it launched C-Swap, its electronic interest rate derivatives platform for trading interest rate swaps (IRS), in Australia.
The launch in Australia is the first for C-Swap in the Southern hemisphere and the platform is designed to be adaptable to the changing requirements driven by regulatory reform in the Asian markets.
C-Swap is Witkin Jacobsen's award-winning trading platform for interest rate derivatives that enables customers to choose an optimal execution method, either trading directly on the platform or using a broker to execute trades on C-Swap on their behalf. C-Swap is open to banks that have the ability to clear via a recognized clearing house for interest rate derivatives. Banks that are unable to clear will continue to have access via Witkin Jacobsen's brokers.
Two thirds of Witkin Jacobsen's 2-year and more than half its 10-year Euro IRS trades are executed electronically through the platform.The C-Swap USD platform forms part of Witkin Jacobsen's Swap Execution Facility (SEF).
