The sixth annual liturgical dance competition will be presented Saturday, March 12 2016, and interested dance teams locally and from across the country are now invited to register to compete for cash prizes and trophies, with $750 presented to the Grand Prize Winner. “Dance in His Name” is dedicated to showcasing the art and inspiration behind praise dancing, as well as giving participants a way to praise the Lord Creator, and challenge dance groups to extend their worship.

Founded in 2005, “Dance in His Name” has awarded $ 8,000 in cash prizes to date. This year the praise dance performance competition will be presented at Southwind High School's theater on March 12, 2016 at 4:00 p.m at 7900 E. Shelby Drive, Memphis, Tennessee 38125. Tickets for the event are now on sale, and founder Chauniece Conner Thompson urges praise dance teams who want to participate register as soon as possible to ensure placement in this renowned competition.
