Former Big Apple Circus Clown Mark Gindick, featured in PBS acclaimed documentary CIRCUS!, presents his one-man show Wing-Man at United Solo Theatre Festival

New York, NY, September 27, 2012 — Flying out of the sawdust and on to the one-person theatrical stage, former Big Apple Circus clown Mark Gindick presents his one-man show “Wing-Man“ as part of the United Solo Theatre Festival, Monday, October 15 and November 5, 2012. Both performances are at 6 pm at Theatre ROW, 410 West 42nd Street, New York, NY and tickets are available via Telecharge (www.telecharge.com or 212-239-6200).

Back by popular demand from last year’s United Solo Theatre Festival where it garnered the Best One-Man Show award, “Wing-Man“ incorporates live social media without a single spoken word. Physical comedian and clown Mark Gindick builds a romantic relationship with the audience in the hot pursuit of ideal romantic love and in “Wing-Man“ he intends “to restore faith in the “world wide web“ of comic humanity.“ While on the Big Apple Circus, Mark Gindick was featured in the acclaimed PBS’ documentary CIRCUS!, which was produced by the Emmy Award-winning Show of Force productions.

The largest international one-person theatrical festival in the world, the United Solo Festival has earned a reputation for presenting local and international performances of high quality. Featured solo artists represent nineteen U.S. states as well as Botswana, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, France, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Spain, United Kingdom, and Venezuela. Recently, United Solo’s diverse collection of shows was included in the New York Times selections for The New Season.
